Despite the bad conditions and the current difficult economic times our hospital decided to invest in the acquisition of an on-site medical oxygen production system based on the OXYSWING® OS-16 MDD modular PSA medical oxygen concentrator manufactured by NOXERIOR. This acquisition was realised through the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework (ΕΣΠΑ) in Greece) and the turn-key system was supplied and installed by the company Filtertech from Greece. The OXYSWING® on-site medical oxygen production system will generate annual savings estimated around Euro 100.000,00 compared to the previous supply of medical oxygen by means of high-pressure gas cylinders.

Our hospital has an operational and functional OXYSWING medical oxygen generator OS-48 with EOS-32 Dual Bank from NOXERIOR since 2009. The produced medical oxygen is supplied to the General Wards (Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Surgery & Pay Wards) as well as to the CCU-ICU, NICU, PICU, SICU, OB-ICU and cancer centre. The very constant purity of the produced medical oxygen has avoided us any untoward experiences. The OXYSWING medical oxygen generator has brought enormous savings of more than 40% to our hospital compared to the former supply by oxygen cylinders. These savings have even significantly increased due to continuously rising prices for medical oxygen cylinders.

The Emergency County Clinical Hospital Sibiu has four OXYSWING medical oxygen generators from NOXERIOR in operation since 2009. The plants supply the required medical oxygen to the 1.054 beds as well as the intensive therapy units of our hospital. The medical oxygen produced by the OXYSWING medical oxygen generators is used for the same medical applications as the previously used cryogenic oxygen with the same clinical results.

We purchased an OXYSWING OS-24 PSA oxygen generator from NOXERIOR for the oxygen feed gas of an ozone generator. We would like to thank NOXERIOR for their professional support regarding the dew point of the produced oxygen. Together with the technicians from a world-leading ozone manufacturer we did a number of dew point measurements under various operational conditions during several days. The result is excellent. Even under extreme conditions the pressure dew point remains at a stable value of - 63°C. This is an ideal situation for the downstream ozone generator.
